Maconomy UK signs deal with Devoteam

15-07-2010

The international ERP solution provider Maconomy has strengthened its relations with the IT consulting firm Devoteam. Devoteam UK joins their fellow Devoteam subsidiaries in Holland and Norway by signing a deal with Maconomy to implement Maconomy’s specialised business solution, providing them with smart workflows and powerful business consolidation capabilities.

Maconomy has signed three deals in the second quarter of 2010 to introduce the Maconomy X1 solution in three new Devoteam locations. This means that Devoteam’s offices in Germany, Norway and the UK will now be able to adopt best-practice business processes through a fully integrated, user-friendly solution exclusively designed for IT consulting firms.

Devoteam’s offices in Denmark and Belgium have already been running Maconomy’s solution for a while as part of Devoteam’s continuous efforts to standardise their operations. The multinational IT consulting firm offers support for each of Devoteam’s 24 subsidiaries if they decide to invest in a Maconomy X1 solution. This provides the subsidiaries with an opportunity to drive the standardisation effort.

Smarter business consolidation and software maintenance
The Devoteam headquarters offers support to the individual Devoteam offices during the solution selection process and during the implementation of the Maconomy solution. By encouraging its subsidiaries to use Maconomy’s solution, it will be much easier for Devoteam to perform year-end closings, consolidate the entire enterprise and maintain the software as it can be updated from Devoteam’s shared servers in Paris.

“Business consolidation will be much easier for us since all data automatically flow from each subsidiary to the parent company using strong Maconomy back-office functionality. The benefits from implementing a Maconomy solution are obvious within our organization and I’m sure that more subsidiaries will adopt the solution when the time is right for them. This will put us in an ideal position for consolidating our business and creating coherence in our workflows across the company,” says CFO Patricia Emmel, Devoteam Group.

Standardized solution with a local touch
The cooperation with Maconomy lets each of the Devoteam subsidiaries utilise the strengths of a standardised solution coupled with the opportunity to customise the solution to their local needs.

For instance, Devoteam UK will have a solution installed that takes their specific local requirements into account while ensuring full compliance with headquarters.

“We are delighted to expand our collaboration with Devoteam by signing this deal. This ties in well with our strategy plan Global Choice 2015, which targets multinational clients with a desire to perform smart business consolidation and optimise workflows throughout their operational units. Devoteam UK will now be in a good position to run their business according to proven best practices in leading IT consulting firms around the world,” says Neil Davidson, Country Manager, Maconomy UK.

Please note that this deal was signed in the second quarter of 2010. As of July 9, Maconomy is part of Deltek, Inc. Based in Herndon, VA, Deltek is the leading provider of enterprise applications software and solutions designed specifically for project-focused businesses.
